Length: The length of the golf club is the most important aspect in successfully fitting golf equipment. A golfer must have the proper length clubs in order to reach his/her playing potential. Most equipment is bought off the shelf poorly fitted. This causes the player to incorrectly posture themselves for the swing. Without correct posture, the swing becomes manipulated with the arms and hands, therefore causing inconsistency at impact resulting in errant shot patterns. Clubs need to be the proper length in order to maximize distance, accuracy, and feel for each shot.
Measure while standing wih good posture, we suggest using a helper. Make a fist with both hands at your side, measure from the middle knuckle to the ground with a yard stick or tape measure. Be sure to measure both sides of the player while the player is standing straight with eyes forward. The slightest tilt to the players spine can dramatically effect the measurement. when fitting for Metal Woods, use half of the determined specification! A player measuring +1 inch will use metal woods +1/2 inch from standard length.
